Paula Short is the Office Administrator at Kountoupes Denham Carr & Reid. Ms. Short came to the firm in May of 2010 after having worked on Capitol Hill for 25 years, first as scheduler and personal assistant for 16 years to Congressman David Bonior (D-MI), who was the Democratic Whip in the House of Representatives. Upon his retirement from Congress, Paula remained in the office of the Democratic Whip as the Office Manager for Congresswoman Nancy Pelosi (D-CA).
She continued as the Office Manager for Congresswoman Pelosi when she became the Democratic Leader and the first woman Speaker in the House of Representatives. In addition to managing all of Ms. Pelosi’s Washington DC offices, she supervised the internship program and managed the House of Representatives Democratic Page Program. Paula studied Business Administration at Pennsylvania State University.
