Matt joined Kountoupes Denham Carr & Reid in July of 2026 as a Legislative Assistant.

Prior to joining KDCR, Matt served as the Supply Chain and Trade Coordinator at the Solar Energy Industries Association, focusing on issues relating to Trade, Domestic Manufacturing, and Critical Minerals policy. He previously served as a Policy Fellow at the Zero Emission Transportation Association while in graduate school, and as a Legislative Intern for then-Congressman Andy Kim (D-NJ) while in undergrad.

Matt earned his bachelor’s degree in Political Science from The George Washington University in 2024, followed by his master’s degree in Environmental Policy from the Trachtenberg School of Public Policy and Public Affairs at GW in 2025.
